Having been raised in southern California by a mother that encouraged my enthusiasm for architecture my life has always revolved around architecture and design. My professional career began with a technical degree from the Phoenix Institute of Technology followed by Bachelor of Science and Masters degrees in architecture from The Catholic University of America. Now based at the revitalized DC Waterfront, I collaborate with clients, helping them create beautiful homes and interiors that perfectly reflect their lives and neighborhoods.
Prior to opening Benton Architecture in early 2016 I gained 15 years of custom residential design experience serving clients at two of DC’s premier boutique architecture firms, Anne Decker Architects and Rill Architects. As a registered Architect licensed in DC, Virginia, Maryland, and Connecticut and a member of the American Institute of Architects I have worked with clients throughout the DC area and beyond. From nearby Georgetown to Gibson Island retreats and historic Stony Creek, Connecticut I offer complete design support for clients looking to create thoughtful and beautiful spaces that enhance their lives. Whether the home is contemporary or traditional, the focus for all my clients is to create a classic and beautifully detailed environment that reflects their unique needs. Named by Home & Design Magazine as one of DC’s Top 100 Designers, my work is featured in articles in the Washingtonian Magazine, The Washington Post and Home & Design Magazine.
